Saab

When we were appointed by Saab they had just introduced the 900 Turbo. In the following four and a half years, we completely revolutionised the image of the marque, moving it up-market, by using large colour ads, presenting the Turbo as the flagship and positioning Saab as a more individual car.

Did this strategy work? Well our award winning ads doubled their sales, which was achieved on a very modest budget compared to Saab's competitors, who were outspending them ten fold.

Interestingly, for a re-pitch, we presented Saab with a campaign based on their aircraft heritage. Sadly we did not retain the business, but so proud are we of this work we have taken the unusual step of reproducing some of the re-pitch here. Any resemblance to the campaign that ran must be purely coincidental.

As well as the above the line campaigns we also worked on dealer support advertising. Throughout our years with Saab, they had quite a few celebrities signed up for PR purposes and occasionally we were asked to use them in the press. Two examples are illustrated here, which we are sure people found very intriguing.
