Randstad,
Europe's largest employment agency appointed AJD to launch them
into the UK .We wanted to establish brand awareness quickly and
ran a bus campaign to support the Randstad network, using a new
and revolutionary printing technique that covered the whole of the
bus. We were one of the first agencies to use it in the country,
so the buses got noticed.
Later we produced a very striking billboard campaign, the object
of which was to position Randstad as a big player - the very best
employment agency, who only employ the very best temps, to give
top quality performances. The use of look-alikes made the posters
very eye catching, so much so that one of Randstad's competitors
actually enquired how much Randstad paid the three stars. They didn't
read the disclaimer.
A very low cost cinema campaign paid for from local branch budgets
was created using a simple slide technique, which because of its
starkness on the screen proved very successful.
In the seven years we handled Randstad we also ran their recruitment
and direct mail campaigns and as with all their marketing they were
receptive to very creative ideas. However one campaign, based on
how they groomed workers to become the very best temps was not approved
and they told us to go 'walkies' just afterwards. Very politely
of course...
